Tennis: Kohlschreiber first to semifinals

Philipp Kohlschreiber became the first semifinalist at the Heineken Open when he ousted second seed Nicolas Almagro 7-6 6-4 in a tight match.

The eighth seed had only two break points in the match but won the key points and was handed victory when Almagro double faulted on match point.

Kohlschreiber, who won in 2008, will now meet the winner of the next quarterfinal, between unseeded players Olivier Rochus and Benoit Paire.
