Kiwi tennis No 1 Marina Erakovic and Zimbabwe's Cara Black have easily won their first round doubles match at Wimbledon, winning in straight sets this morning (NZT).
The pair, who reached the quarter-finals of the French Open earlier this month, defeated Heather Watson (Britain) and Mervana Jugic Salkic (Bosnia & Herzegovina) 6-2 6-0.
Erakovic will play her second-round singles match against 24th seed Peng Shuai from China later tonight. The duo have met just once before, also on grass, when Peng won a qualifying match at Birmingham two years ago 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
