Wanaka has been confirmed as the third race on the National
Triathlon Sprint Series calendar in January.
The resort hosted a race leg of the Contact Tri Series for
the first time last January when Wanaka triathlete Nicky
Samuels claimed a popular win in front of a home-town crowd.
The Wanaka Sprint Tri (750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run) is
the first of four cup races for the season and takes place
during the evening of January 15 on the lakefront and
downtown streets of the resort.
