Continued unsettled weather, with average to dry conditions,
has meant groundwater levels are continuing to drop in the
region, Environment Canterbury water scientists say.
River and stream flows were generally at or below average,
reflecting average to below average rainfall and soil
moisture levels were close to mean values in most areas,
groundwater scientist Dr Howard Williams said.
