Three Cromwell residents have been arrested and charged with
various offences, in relation to a burglary in the town on
Sunday.
About 4.30am, a door at Transmission Direct, on Melmore Tce,
was kicked in.
Pouch tobacco and cigarettes were taken.
Constable Maude O'Connell said two adults, a man and a woman
and a young woman were arrested.
Police were also trying to locate an out-of-town resident
believed to be involved.
The three people arrested would appear in the Alexandra
District Court next week, she said.
Also, a 21-year-old Alexandra man was arrested in Cromwell
yesterday after allegedly shoplifting in the town.
He faced a single charge and would appear in the Alexandra
District Court on March 10, Const O'Connell said.
