The sister and brother of missing man Johnny Sleigh were flying to London last night "just to be closer to where Johnny was last seen".
Mr Sleigh (36), the son of Peter and Caroline Sleigh, who farm near Waimate, failed to return home after leaving a nightclub more than a week ago.
Mr Sleigh's older brother, David Sleigh, and younger sister, Catherine Booth, decided on Saturday to head to London, and they were flying from Auckland last night.
When contacted, Mrs Booth said the pair wanted to be closer to where their brother was last seen to liaise with police "face to face".
No new information about Mr Sleigh's disappearance had come to light over the weekend, she said.
The Sleigh family has been in regular contact with London Metropolitan police, who have mounted a major investigation into his disappearance.
A website has been set up to distribute information on the search and it will be updated on a regular basis.
