A 21-year-old Oamaru man who allegedly bit a police officer
faces a variety of charges.
The man was spotted by police at a party in Oamaru early on
Sunday, breaching his bail conditions.
He faces charges of breaching bail, assaulting police,
injuring police and escaping custody.
The officer, who was bitten on the forearm, received
treatment, Sergeant Tony Woodbridge said.
