A 16-year-old youth received hospital treatment after he was
assaulted by two young men at the North Otago A and P
showgrounds on Friday night.
The youth was "set upon" by the pair about 10pm, punched to
the ground and struck, either with kicks or punches, Senior
Sergeant Jason McCoy said.
The offenders, who are yet to be located, are described as
Caucasians, aged between 16 and 19.
One was wearing a black T-shirt with "Zombie" printed on the
front and had short brown hair, while the other was wearing a
black hooded top and dark jeans and had brown hair.
Police wanted to hear from anyone with information about the
incident.
