Keegan Pullar, of Dunedin, won the Oamaru Stamina Event
yesterday by a four-minute margin.
The multisport race starts with a 300m swim in Oamaru Harbour
or a 2km run, followed by a 20km road bike and finishes with
a 5km run.
Gary Fahey (Timaru) won the veteran men's section, followed
by Mike Sandri (Oamaru).
Audrey Farreyre (Dunedin) was first home in the open women's,
while Penny Hunt (Christchurch) won the veteran women's
title.
The Oamaru Mail team won the mixed teams class.
The duathlon held alongside the Stamina Event was won
decisively by Tim Rush (Oamaru), in his first season of
competing.
Sarah Tommey (Dunedin) won the women's duathlon.
Peter Trainer (Waimate) won the veteran men's, with Chris
Todd (Christchurch) winning the veteran women's.
Ben Moore (Christchurch Boys High School) won the senior
boys' triathlon, while Amelia Kinnaird (St Hildas Collegiate
School) won the senior girls'.
Troy McAlister (Central Southland College) won the
intermediate boys' section.
Mary Gray (Otago Girls High School) won intermediate girls'.
