The Oamaru harbour regatta was held at Friendly Bay
yesterday.
The regatta has grown from the Victorian traditional boats
day at the harbour, and the aim this year was to involve as
many harbour users and organisations as possible to broaden
its appeal.
It spanned from the historic to modern day and there were
seagull, rowing, coracle and optimist races, as well as
activities on the beach including sand castle and bathing
beauty competitions.
