A 19-year-old western Southland woman has admitted willfully
attempting to commit infanticide, during a brief appearance
at Invercargill High Court today.
The incident took place on January 25, 2009.
Justice Lester Chisholm allowed interim name suppression to
continue, remanding the woman on bail to reappear for
sentencing on March 9.
