SUV narrowly misses Dunedin house

A driver narrowly avoided hitting a Dunedin house this afternoon after her SUV crashed through a concrete fence, toppled a tree and flattened a letterbox before coming to rest on its side.

The incident in the suburb of Kenmure happened about 1.30pm today.

The house in Kenmure Rd is believed to be vacant.

A woman, who was travelling alone in the Ford Explorer, escaped serious injury and was treated at the scene by St John ambulance staff.
