Arrowtown will serve its finest cuisine for the inaugural
Christmas Long Lunch next Friday when guests are invited to
dine in the street. The town's restaurants and cafes are
setting up tables along Buckingham St to seat up to 300 guests
and Queenstown Event Management general manager Malcolm Blakey
said it was a great way to show the variety of Arrowtown's
eateries.
"It is a great promotional event for Arrowtown," Mr Blakey
said. Profits from the event will go towards the Queenstown
Trails Trust.
Mr Blakey said 200 seats had been pre-sold and three of the
restaurants had already been booked out.
Participating food outlets are Arrowtown Bakery, Saffron,
Cafe Mondo, Bonjour Cafe, Arrow Thai Restaurant, the Stables
Restaurant, Cooks Deli, Mantra, Pannikins Cafe, Arrow Cafe,
Postmasters Residence, The Fork and Tap and Provisions cafe.
