Flame Fire Productions performer Ange Constable, of
Arrowtown, "dressed" as Neytiri, the Na'vi star of Avatar,
poses outside the seventh annual Dorothy Brown's Oscars
Party on Monday night.
The stars came out in Arrowtown when about 30
movie-lovers dressed the part at the seventh annual Dorothy
Brown's Oscars Party on Monday night.
Patrons were quizzed about their ensembles by "reporters"
from the "Daily Snoop" and "Goodbye" magazine and snapped by
"papparazi" on arrival at the boutique cinema.
Flame Fire Productions performer Ange Constable, of
Arrowtown, caused a sensation as Neytiri, the blue-skinned
Na'vi star of the blockbuster Avatar.
Wearing little apart from her knickers, Ms Constable said it
took two assistants two and a-half hours to apply the
detailed theatrical make-up to her body.
"I feel like I have clothes on, like I'm wearing a body suit.
[The audience] are loving it."
Before the recorded Oscars night ceremony was projected on
the screen, patrons watched "Dorothy Brown" herself apologise
for not being in Arrowtown, as she was attending the
Hollywood ceremony.
