Over the next three weeks, Clutha residents will be asked to
rate the Clutha District Council's performance.
The council's fourth annual residents survey has started
questioning ratepayers and others living in the district.
The Southern Institute of Technology is conducting the survey
on the council's behalf.
Council policy analyst Rebecca Findlay said residents would
be randomly called on weeknights between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
"They will be asked about a range of council services
including water, roading, waste, parks and reserves as well
as the overall performance of council," Ms Findlay said.
"The survey is an ideal opportunity for those contacted to
express their views on the direction in which council and the
district are heading."
The telephone survey takes about 10 minutes and the results
will be released early next year.
The council arranges the survey to help guide its direction
during its annual and long-term plan processes.
