The Clutha District Council's district assets committee
yesterday recommended increasing the Naish Park redevelopment
budget by $55,000.
After a short progress report from community services
co-ordinator Loesje Morrison, the committee recommended the
Council increase the Balclutha Parks and Reserves capital
budget by $55,000.
The original budget was $60,000, with work to be carried out
between 2009 and 2011.
The council wants to increase the budget and move work
forward to take advantage of the current market situation.
The council will vote on the recommendation at its next
meeting on February 25.
