Glenorchy School senior class teacher Helen Reed last
week took 21 year 5 to 8 pupils to the Glenorchy Museum to
research the past of the township and its families.
The visit is part of the group's preparation for a dinner in
November.
Years 7 and 8 will cook a three-course dinner, while year 5
and 6 pupils will decorate the hall, send out invitations and
serve the meal.
The dinner will be held in the Queenstown Memorial Hall
because of the school's growing enrolment.
There were 16 pupils at the Glenorchy School in 2006. There
are now 36 pupils, including three who enrolled this term.
