A line-up for the Lake Hawea Hotel's summer concert series
has been announced, with some favourite New Year holiday
regulars scheduled to return.
Lake Hawea Hotel crowd-pleasers the Feelers will headline the
New Year's Eve concert, with support from three other New
Zealand bands.
Former Exponents frontman Jordan Luck and his new band, the
Earlybirds, will provide support for the Feelers, while
rockers Elemeno P will also be joining the line-up..
Leading off the summer concert series, which starts on
Tuesday night, December 29, will be one of the country's
premier drum 'n' bass outfits, Shapeshifter, which will
perform alongside its respected soundman and prominent solo
artist, Tiki Taane.
Taane will front for the Gold Coast-based Shapeshifter in a
support role he often fills for the five-piece band during
international tours.
They headlined last year's New Year Eve celebration at Lake
Hawea and will be joined again by DJ JStar and the Sunshine
Soundsystem as lead-in acts.
Lake Hawea Hotel publican John Shea said he hoped to be able
to announce a third night of concerts soon, with a possible
line-up for a Saturday, January 2, gig still to be confirmed.
Tickets for the summer concerts can be bought from the hotel.
