Two Invercargill teenagers have been arrested in relation to
the arson of a classroom block under construction at James
Hargest College in Invercargill.
Police arrested an 18-year-old and 19-year-old yesterday and
charged them with arson and burglary.
The January 3 fire at James Hargest College destroyed a new
classroom block, causing damage estimated at $700,000.
Both teenagers arrested yesterday will also face charges of
arson and burglary in relation to a separate incident at the
school on October 7 last year. The teenagers will appear in
the Invercargill District Court.
