A woman who owes $124,000, which she was ordered to repay in
2005, will reappear in the Invercargill District Court next
week.
Julia Anne Hitchcock (38) was held in custody after appearing
in the Queenstown District Court before Judge Dominic Flatley
last week.
Hitchcock admitted stealing almost $160,000 from her
employer, Alpine Artifacts Ltd, between March 2002 and
February 2005.
She was sentenced to two years' jail and ordered to repay the
money she owed, less $15,000 which she brought with her to
her sentencing.
Following an appearance in the Invercargill District Court on
Friday, Hitchcock was remanded on bail to reappear on March
24.
