Tractors, motorbikes, farm machinery and dancing girls will all be on display at the Southfuels Farmarama at Lawrence on February 7 and 8.

The biennial event will be held at the Lawrence gymkhana grounds, opening to the public at 11am on the Thursday and 9am on the Friday.

The event had grown over the years from a small number of exhibitors in a paddock for a one-day event to more than 100 trade sites at this year's two-day event. There would be a ''huge selection'' of machinery and products on display, one of the organisers, Dave Robertson, said.

''It's a good day out for farmers.''

Entertainment will be provided by seven members of the Otago Dancers group.

The event is a fundraiser for the Lawrence Lions Club, and gate-takings will go towards the new aquatic centre at Lawrence.
