One of New Zealand's leading recruitment and placement
agencies has moved into a new, state-of-the-art building in
Queenstown, almost six years after first opening in the
resort.
Tradestaff, which supplies temporary and permanent workers to
the trade sector, opened its Queenstown branch in October
2004.
The recent move to the resort's redeveloped Searle Lane
reflects how strongly the company values the region's
business opportunities.
Managing director Kevin Eder said it was "great news" for the
company and Queenstown staff, now located in the heart of the
resort.
"The move made perfect business sense, as we are now situated
in a high-profile area in Searle Lane, opposite Joe's Garage
and conveniently located behind Nomads Backpackers.
"We love the variety of work that comes our way in
Queenstown.
"It's totally different to any of our other branches, due to
the transient nature of the area.
"Our temp pool is mostly made up of travellers and,
therefore, the Queenstown office has become known as the
`United Nations branch'," Mr Eder said.
The company had provided staff to "most of the big commercial
projects" which had taken place in Queenstown over the past
six years, but it was equally proud of the work it had done
assisting small, local businesses.
