Remarkables Primary School new full uniform went on sale at RPS and Postie Plus last week.
Principal Debbie Dickson said community consultation would take place this year to decide whether to make the uniform compulsory.
The uniform had been introduced gradually and was a way of giving the new school identity, she said.
The complete kit includes a polo top, soft shell jacket, merino top, skorts, skirts as well as cargo pants and shorts. The sports uniform will go on sale in term four.
