Chanteuse Hollie Smith is the next artist to perform live
in the Winehouse on March 4 as part of the Summer
Playground series. Photo supplied.
There are only three top New Zealand artists left to play
in the successful Summer Playground series of intimate gigs in
the Winehouse, Gibbston.
Soul singer-guitarist Hollie Smith, whose big break was her
sultry rendition of Bathe in the River in 2006, went
on to release her debut album Long Player, which won
four 2007 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
Smith will play songs from her debut and 2010 follow-up album
Humour and the Misfortune of Others in the Winehouse
on March 4.
Cheeky barefooted recording artist turned domestic goddess
Anika Moa will perform hits and crowd favourites from her
four multi-platinum albums when she takes to the stage on
March 18.
Finally, the charismatic Fur Patrol frontwoman, Julia Deans,
will present songs from her solo debut Modern Fables
on the same bill as pop-inspired up-and-coming
singer-songwriter Seth Haapu on April 1.
Tickets cost $45 for each Summer Playground gig and are
available from Quest in Queenstown and Wanaka, the Arrowtown
Information Centre or via the Eventfinder website.
The Winehouse doors open at 3pm and shows start at 5.30pm.
