One of the world's top golf coaches, Terry Dill, addresses the ball. Dill will be offering a coaching seminar to promising golfers in Queenstown in March.
Up-and-coming golfers in Queenstown will have the chance to learn from one of the world's best coaches in March.

Terry Dill (69) has had an illustrious career spanning 30 years of professional golf and, off the green, working as a lawyer and tax law teacher, as well as flirting with politics.

In New Zealand to take part in the New Zealand Senior Series, Dill will also be holding coaching seminars in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.

Queenstown's PGA Seniors Tour contender Jim Lapsley - one of Dill's students - said it was a "superb opportunity" for any golfer wanting to take their game to the highest level.

The seminars were aimed at low handicap amateurs and young professional golfers.

Lapsley said Dill was known as the world's highest money-winning PGA coach and described him as a "brilliant coach and an amazing man".

"His story is incredible. It covers a gamut of careers interspersed with periods of professional golfing.

"He qualified for the European tour in 2006 at age 67 and is now keen to pass on his huge knowledge.

"Terry coached me for two weeks in May [2008] and during that time we didn't cover the same ground twice.

"His knowledge of the game is astounding and I seriously recommend anyone considering a professional golf career to seize this opportunity."

Seminars will be held in Auckland and Christchurch before Dill arrives in Queenstown for his two-day seminar on March 24 and 25.

The cost of attending is $400, with students able to bring their own coaches for an extra $125.

All proceeds will go to the New Zealand Professional Golf Association.
