Feedback from a public meeting about the future of the
Hawksbury Lagoon will be converted into a series of options
and presented back to the community.
The meeting, in Waikouaiti yesterday, attracted about 40
people keen to hear what the Hawkesbury Lagoon Committee and
its project team had to say about its plans to develop a
long-term integrated water management regime to improve the
natural and amenity values of the lagoon.
Committee chairwoman Shirley McKewen said preople were asked
to think about what they liked about the lagoon, what
concerned them and what could be improved.
Another meeting would be held in July to present options for
the lagoon.
