Wanaka artisan ice-cream maker Richard Bullock is delighted six of his ice creams won seven awards at the New Zealand Ice Cream Awards in Queenstown on Thursday night.

Pure New Zealand Ice Cream won three silvers for boysenberry, raspberry and vanilla bean flavours, three golds for chocolate, hokey-pokey and kaffir lime and ginger, and a joint best in category award (open creative) for kaffir lime and ginger.

It was the first time Mr Bullock and his wife Tracey had won national awards, after narrowly missing out on medals last year.
