Dye thumped Otago's Ben Duffy 12-10, 12-10, 11-4, 11-5 in the final at Bayfield High School.
Dye had been in top form all day and had swept Canterbury's Grant Wilson aside 11-4, 11-2, 11-6, 11-7 in one semifinal.
In the other semifinal, Duffy reversed his heavy defeat to Wang Qi in the Otago Open final with an 11-7, 11-5, 10-12, 11-7, 11-9 win over Qi.
Dye and Duffy to combined to win the open doubles title after a round-robin competition. Wilson and fellow Cantabrian Jeff Mason were runners-up.
Brodie Smith (Otago) and Mimi Walle (Canterbury) claimed the open mixed doubles title with an 11-8, 11-7, 11-8 win over Robin Sew Hoy (Otago) and Ola Ratka (Canterbury).
Southland's Debbie Garrett won the open women's singles title, decided after a round robin. Garrett combined with Otago's Debra King to win the open women's doubles round robin, with Walle and Ratka finishing second.
