ABC boss Michelle Guthrie is expected to reveal a new digital-led model for the Australian public broadcaster in a massive overhaul to be announced today.
The television and radio divisions are expected to be rebranded video and audio under the restructure designed to give the ABC a renewed focus on digital platforms, AAP reports.
It is the latest step in the ABC's push for multi-platform units, including the investigative and specialist journalism units unveiled last month amid a shakeup of the 85-year-old broadcaster's current affairs division.
Earlier this year, Ms Guthrie announced up to 200 middle management job cuts in order to pump the savings into expanding the ABC's news coverage in regional areas.
