Andrea Donne (left), of Headfirst Travel, speaks to student Christina Yuen (22) this week as part of business internship programme JobDUN, which is in its 10th year.

The programme, previously known as Sexy Summer Jobs, enables paid internships for tertiary students at Dunedin businesses.

Since 2009, 131 businesses from a wide range of sectors have been involved with the programme and there have been 388 internships, resulting in 270 employment positions.

While the programme started with an information and communications technology focus, it now attracts businesses from 13 sectors.

The 2019-20 season of internships was launched this week.
