Dunedin gas fire manufacturer Escea has won a marketing award for its  retail franchise Stoke Fireplace Studio, which launched its showroom in Auckland in May last year.

It won the best emerging business/new brand category in the TVNZ Marketing Awards in Auckland last week.

Its head of sales and marketing, Sarah Hill, working with creative agency Brandaid, said a strong brand identity and strategy was created for Stoke, followed up with a marketing campaign that included digital, PR, print, social, direct mail and TV sponsorship activities.

"Escea is fanatical about fireplaces. In our eyes, they’re an architectural piece of art, and Stoke is our way of getting that across to architects and their clients," Ms Hill said.

Stoke Fireplace Studios have been launched ahead of schedule in Wellington and Queenstown.
