Cyclist Will Barros, of Dunedin, tucks in to fruit salad and a croissant at Spokes' fifth annual bike breakfast, held at the Dunedin Railway Station yesterday.

Co-ordinator Carol Tippet said more than 400 cyclists took advantage of the free food between 6.30am and 9am. The breakfast, supplies for which were donated by sponsors, was previously held in the Octagon. It was moved to the railway station this year to connect better with the city's cycleways.

A beautiful example of how cycle ways cannot get people where they want to go. Another DCC myth busted, pity the cost to the rate payer was so high.
