Dunedin artist Jo St Baker presents not one, but two new exhibitions at Gallery De Novo tomorrow.
"Poured from Blue Skies" includes a selection of rings and 10 paintings, which continue her theme of reflecting detailed landscapes in silverware vessels.
St Baker's second show, "Black Ice" consists of woodcuts and sculptures created from corrugated iron, wood pieces and hand-made aluminium rivets.
"Poured from Blue Skies" and "Black Ice" open at Gallery De Novo tomorrow and run until December 3.
An older Scrooge
Veteran Dunedin actor Bert Nisbet returns to the past in a Christmas show opening in the Mayfair Theatre next week.
Nisbet played Young Scrooge at His Majesty's Theatre in the 1960s and this time plays Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.
A Christmas Carol, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1800s tale, is being performed to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity, an organisation which builds homes for needy families.
All money raised will be used for Dunedin families.
A Christmas Carol opens at 7.30pm next Wednesdayand runs until Sunday, November 29.
Town Hall organ recital
Norma the Town Hall organ gets its last airing for a while in a recital by organist Martin Setchell this weekend.
The $45 million redevelopment of the Town Hall will close the complex for up to 12 months.
The last concert will be the Dunedin Town Hall Organ Trust's "Organ Bonbons for St Cecilia's Day".
The programme includes Handel, Dvorak, Hollins, Saint-Saëns and Sousa, among others. "Organ Bonbons for St Cecilia's Day" starts at 3pm on Sunday at Dunedin Town Hall.
Tickets: $10 at the door.
Spaniard in concert
Spanish organist Bartolome Olives Villalonga will be tickling the ivories at St Paul's Cathedral tomorrow.
Villalonga is the organist at the church of Santa Maria of Mao in Menorca and will perform a programme featuring works by Bach, Sibelius, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Franck and Spanish composers.
The concert is at 1pm. Tickets: $10 at the door.
St Kilda Brass joins the Rat Pack this weekend.
The Southern Victorian Charitable Trust 2009 concert series will relive the era of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis jun.
St Kilda Brass has collaborated with choirs,a jazz fusion band, musical theatre stars and tap dancers in recent years.
The concert features Rat Pack favourites such as Mack the Knife, Viva Las Vegas and That's Amore.
The songs have been rescored for full brass band, piano, bass guitar and drums by St Kilda Brass musical director Steve Miles.
The concert, which includes soloists Stuart Walker (piano), John Lewis (cornet) and Ralph Miller (trumpet), is on at 7.30pm on Saturday in the Glenroy Auditorium.

Ukulele demonstration
An Australian ukulele player described as "Frank Zappa and Gillian Welch's love-child" plays in Dunedin tonight.
Rose Turtle Ertler will demonstrate the versatility of the ukulele with acoustic and distorted sets, accompanied by Ravensbourne ukulele player Marcus Tuwairua. 8pm at Chicks Hotel, Port Chalmers.
Chamber music concert
The Southern Sinfonia presents a chamber music concert which journeys through the years this weekend.
"Renaissance to Rag" features works by Addison, Peuerl, Lilburn, Gardner, Gabrieli, Parker, Bizet and Simon.
The instrumentalists are Ronald Caldwell and Ralph Miller (trumpet), Nigel Finney (French horn) and William Henderson (trombone).
"Renaissance to Rag" is on at 4.30pm on Sunday in the Sinfonia Rooms, first floor of the Carnegie Centre.
Photography festival
New Zealand's oldest photography festival is on in Dunedin this week.
More than 600 images from 75 photographers across New Zealand are on show at Rocda Gallery until Saturday as part of the Dunedin Festival of Photography.
