Family duo joins the band

Champion cornetist Trevor Bremner and his trombone-playing son, David, join forces with the St Kilda Brass Band for "Dad and Dave With the Saints" tomorrow.

A feature of the concert will be the New Zealand premiere of Clouds, by Dunedin composer Anthony Ritchie.

New Queenstown gallery

Artbay has opened in Queenstown's historic Mountaineer building, where it will show works by emerging and established New Zealand artists, owner Pauline Bianchi (right) says.

Artbay is open from 11am to 8pm, seven days a week.

Fertile territory

Comedian Damian Callinan has a chuckle at infertility in an adult-themed show opening at the Fortune Theatre next week.

Spaznuts is based on his own experiences with a men's infertility group.

The show runs until August 15.
