Kyle Mewburn, of Millers Flat, won the picture book category in the children’s choice awards for his book The House on the Hill, illustrated by Sarah Davis.
The winner of the Margaret Mahy Book of the Year and best non fiction was Anzac Heroes by Warkworth author Maria Gill.
