The creators of 'Pokemon Go' are working on a trading feature.
The mobile game has proven to be hugely successful with players since it was launched earlier this month and John Hanke, Niantic Labs chief executive, confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday that users will soon be able to trade their pocket monsters with other players, meaning the digital product will become increasingly like the original card-based incarnation of the game.
Trading featured in 'Pokemon Go's beta testing, allowing players to trade with those in their immediate vicinity. However, the function did not make it into the released version.
At the moment though, it is not yet known if trades in an updated version of 'Pokemon Go' would be available locally, as opposed to all across the world.
Hanke quipped that the app's developers will need to make sure the servers can handle the new function before this feature can be properly implemented.
Meanwhile, Hanke also addressed some of the problems with the game, promising the creators will look into complaints about gyms being 'poached'.
He said also that the creative team is aware of is the three-step bug that some gamers have complained about, explaining that it will be fixed in time.
