Pop princess Kylie Minogue wants to branch out into comedy acting.
The pint-sized singer, who first found fame starring in the TV soap Neighbours before launching a successful pop career, said she would love to land a comedy role.
"I'm starting to think acting would be good - I'd love to do a comedy," The Sun newspaper reported her telling an Argentine TV show.
"I've done a few little comedy bits and pieces as a guest on different shows and I love it.
"It's not that well known that I'm funny, but I am.
"People who know me will tell you."
Minogue, who has appeared in the award-winning film Moulin Rouge in 2001 and last year's Doctor Who Christmas special, said she hated being pigeonholed as either an actress or singer.
"I started out as an actress and I thought if I was lucky that would be my career, because it's notoriously difficult to do well," she said.
"Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say, 'You can't be a singer, you're an actress'."
Minogue has been on tour in South America. Five suitcases belonging to her staff were stolen last week ahead of a concert in the Colombian capital Bogota.
