CD reviews: Django Django

Scottish band Django Django combines art school indie rock, '60s pop and electronics in a resourceful, if not compelling, way.

Every track is manicured to present as appealing and just a little bit clever, without offering much in the way of identifiable emotion.

Musically, there's a lot going on here, and yet, nothing much at all.

Dispassionate vocals, layered with harmonies, make it easy to hear lyrics that will never stay with you, due to the detachment that is essentially the band's trademark.

But stick your head in a magazine while listening and you'll find it agreeable enough.

Django Django. Born Under Saturn. Because Music.
