The Christmas season is approaching and Toitu Otago Settlers Museum is celebrating with the annual opening of Pixie Town.

The popular mechanical ‘‘pixies’’ were built by Nelson man Fred Jones, and were displayed annually over the Christmas period at the Dunedin DIC department store until it closed.

The exhibition is open from Friday December 8 until Sunday December 24, and is free for the whole whanau.

For those who want to enjoy the usual and special exhibitions at Toitu, the museum will be open all summer (except Christmas Day).

The staff at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum wish everyone all the best for the festive season and hope to see you soon.
