Our Halloween concert will feature an array of eerie, mysterious, and spine-tingling orchestral works: Mussorgsky’s justly famous 'Night on Bald Mountain', the bone-rattling 'Fossils' and hair-raising 'Danse Macabre', both by Saint-Saens, as well as music from popular spooky films such as 'The Addams Family', 'Ghostbusters', 'Monster Mash' and 'Star Wars'.
Adding a touch of magic — with some tricks 'up his sleeve' — will be Jonathan Usher, one of New Zealand's most skilled magicians. Helping to hold the show together will be NZ Assistant Conductor Vincent Hardaker, as well as leading NZ playwright Dave Armstrong as MC.
