With a variety of activities and games, there is something for children of all ages.
Our entertainment programme features popular local magician and balloon twister Magic Max, storyteller extraordinaire Kaitrin McMullan, Fun Faces Face Painting and the fantastic science facilitators from Otago Museum!
There will also be a great range of activities running all day, including sports games stations from Sport Otago and their Kelly Sport coaches, giant Jenga, the Lego and Duplo play pit and remotecontrol cars from the Lego Users Group Otago, bouncy castles, a giant soccer pool table from The Hits radio station and much, much more!
For those looking for something more relaxed, we have colouring-in competitions and our Dunedin Public Library quiet space.
The PlaceMakers Family Fun Zone is open 10am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday and all activities are free of charge.

They painted their faces, donned their best Highlanders gear, waved their flags, showed off their biggest smiles and after a hard-fought social-media round, Crackerjax Early Learning Centre and Queen’s Preschool have finally made it to the live vote finale in our Great Kiwi Playhouse Giveaway!
The lucky winners of this live vote will win a brand-new playhouse from the students at Otago Polytechnic, built with top-quality materials supplied by PlaceMakers. Not only will they win this new playhouse, but they will also have the Highlanders install their playhouse in the new year!
Our second placegetters won't go home empty-handed thanks to the team at Eeny Meeny, who will be supplying an arts-and-crafts pack worth $200!
