With the brand new Level 1 announcement we would like to say thank you to you all for supporting our Museum. We look forward to seeing more of you back in our beautiful space, enjoying our collection and connecting with our community.

We have loads of free events, trails, music, and shows planned for the next couple months, keep an eye out on our website for updates as they come.

PUBLIC TALK

Bring your lunch and hear from Otago Museum Director and keen astrophotographer Dr Ian Griffin as he discusses some of his recent astronomical adventures.

For the comfort and safety of attendees, seating will be physically distanced as required, and, depending on the current alert level, this talk will be held in either the Barclay Theatre or the Friends' Room.

PAID ACTIVITY

Exercise with a difference, surrounded by the butterflies in our Tropical Forest!

Hot Yoga Dunedin instructors lead a gentle hatha yoga class focusing on moving slowly through basic poses and using your breath to remain present and mindful.

Suitable for all levels. Bring your own mat, towel, and drink.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMME

Looking for an after-school programme that ignites your child's curiosity, stretches their learning, and inspires a love of science? Come along to Tūhura Club at Otago Museum!

Led by qualified science educators, your child will discover the Universe in the Perpetual Guardian Planetarium, programme a robot, explore biology in the Tropical Forest, perform chemistry experiments, and lots more!

Free online taster sessions every Wednesday at 4pm. See website for details.
