The Great Kiwi Home & Living Show is returning for a second year with a bigger and better line-up.

The event, run by Allied Press, the owner of the Otago Daily Times, in partnership with Dunedin Venues, will be held at Forsyth Barr Stadium on November 4 and 5.

Allied Press commercial manager Matthew Holdridge said a new layout at the stadium would allow for additional exhibitors to be on show.

A new area at the event this year would be the health and wellbeing zone which would bring together a range of exhibitors from the health, beauty and wellbeing industry, he said.

The popular design challenge would return this year.

The challenge last year, the man-cave versus she-shed, raised $23,000 for charities.

The challenge this year would be the "classic Kiwi sleep-out challenge".

The show favourites returning this year include the children’s zone, motoring zone and the popular food and beverage zone.

Cooking demonstrators and home and living seminars would be on offer again to keep the audience entertained throughout the day.

"As well as a great line-up of musicians to keep the festival atmosphere going under the roof."

Dunedin Venues chief executive Terry Davies said the inaugural show last year brought something different from the traditional home and living show.

"The feedback after the event was outstanding and we want to build on this success."

Allied Press chief executive Grant McKenzie said Allied Press was "delighted" to continue its partnership with Dunedin Venues.

"We will continue to use our range of media publications, broadcast television and online news and video to reach even more people across the lower South Island to ensure the event is a success."

Exhibitor bookings were being accepted and businesses should contact Tina Stevens at Allied Press to secure a place.
