What was the best birthday present you ever received, and why?
On my 60th birthday (not that long ago), my family paid for a helicopter ride and control experience. What a wonderful experience with magnificent scenery.
What smell do you find irresistible?
Roast lamb or hogget. I was raised on a farm. Sunday roasts were the "norm''. I salivate thinking about it!
What is your least favourite thing about humanity?
I find it difficult to understand why the human race can be so hateful and non-tolerant with each other when singing together can be so uniting and joyful.
What's something only your family knows about you?
Forty years' continuous involvement with Caversham Harriers and Athletic Club, of which I'm a life member. This club has been a huge part of my life - so much fun with the side benefit of keeping fit and healthy.
You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour are you, and why?
Burgundy. It matches well my grey (blonde) hair.
