WHAT DOES YOUR ORGANISATION DO?

Plastic Bag Free Wanaka is a not-for-profit, voluntary group that creates cool and quirky workshops and solutions to support locals to reduce the use of single-use plastics.

HOW DOES THIS HELP?

Most of the world's plastic was created in the past 30 years and will stay with us for up to 600 years. We get kicks out of offering simple alternatives via our workshops and our super enthusiastic mascot Plastic Free Paula (find her on Facebook or YouTube).

WHAT DO YOU HAVE PLANNED NEXT?

You can always bank on us offering some fun events on the internationally celebrated month of Plastic Free July. This year we ran a hugely successful Waste Free Fair and aim to do that again. We're working on supporting local businesses to become single-use plastic free. Becoming NZ's first waste-free town isn't out of the question.

CAN OTHERS GET INVOLVED?

We have an open-door policy and love having extra hands on deck.
