Police are negotiating with a man perched on the balcony roof of a high rise building in Sydney's north following the discovery of a woman's body on the ground below.
The body of the woman, reportedly aged in her 20s, was discovered about 6.30am off Brown Street near Chatswood's main shopping strip.
Shortly after her body was found the man appeared on the balcony roof at the residential building.
The site has been cordoned off as police officers - including a Korean speaker - continue to negotiate with the man at the top of the building which is at least 15 storeys high.
A tent has been erected around the woman's body which is directly below where the man is situated.
