An eight-year-old boy has died after being found in a dam at a farm east of Grafton, in northern NSW.
The child had been with his family on the property at Tucabia, about 25km east of Grafton, when they noticed he was missing at about 2.30pm on Monday.
Family members mounted a search and found the boy in a dam about 10 minutes later.
CPR was initiated and continued until paramedics arrived, and transported the child to Grafton base Hospital where he died a short time later.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
