A bayonet, ammunition, prescription drugs and more than $50,000 were among the haul seized when police arrested eight men in a drug operation in Sydney's southwest.
Four men aged 50, 20, 35 and 41 were arrested about 2.15pm on Friday afternoon.
A 19-year-old ran from the scene but was chased down by a police dog and also arrested.
Following the arrests, search warrants were executed at premises in Merrylands, Greystanes, Ermington and on two premises in Granville.
Two more men were arrested, a 43-year-old and a 19-year-old.
During the search, officers allegedly located and seized more than $50,000 in cash, various prescription drugs including steroids, valium and Xanax, cannabis, an expandable baton, a shotgun shell, 11 rounds of ammunition, a bayonet knife, five mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.
Police will allege that the syndicate has been supplying drugs in Sydney's west.
About 6pm on Friday an eighth man was arrested.
He was escorted from a plane at Sydney airport.
All eight men were charged with numerous offences, including supply prohibited drug and refused bail.
