A man is due to face court after being charged over the stabbing murder of a man on the NSW mid-north coast on New Years Day.
Police say emergency services were called to a Port Macquarie home on the morning of January 1, following reports of a stabbing.
A 44-year-old man with stab wounds was found at the scene and attempts to resuscitate him failed.
Detectives from Strike Force Supel arrested a 33-year-old man at a house in Toormina on Tuesday.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police station where he was charged with murder and a warrant for revocation of parole.
The man was refused bail to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday.
