A man will appear in court charged with dangerous driving over a crash that killed his three passengers following a police pursuit west of Alice Springs.
Police began chasing a Commodore near Hermannsburg about 8.30pm (local time)
on Saturday after the driver refused to stop.
Officers abandoned the pursuit when the car sped off but the vehicle later crashed and rolled onto its roof.
Three passengers - two women aged 26 and 32, and a 30-year-old man - all died at the scene.
The car was later found about 4km west of Hermannsburg.
Police on Monday charged a 26-year-old man with three counts of dangerous driving causing death, recklessly endangering life, driving a motor vehicle whilst disqualified and bring liquor into a restricted area.
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrate court on Monday.
